I Remember My Big Wheel

I thought my green big wheel was really cool and loved riding it around. I still remember the wind blowing through my pig tails and the sound of the hard plastic wheels rolling on the pavement… life was good :-)

I Remember Fine Dining…

I remember when fine dining meant a cheeseburger & a fry guy. We rarely ate out, but when it was time for a Happy Meal it was like the world stopped for just a moment. The smells, the tastes, sights, the toy surprise, the playground… it’s still so vivid in my memory to this day. It’s sad that now, fast food doesn’t have the same effect as before, but I will admit that I still order the kids meal from time to time just to check out the toy surprise :-)

Johnny Bright Playground

As children, we have a tendency to push the limits of our pets:  with excessive kisses & hugs, unlimited ear & tail pulls and unnecessary attempts at pony rides on the dog, just to name a few. My sister and I were no different. Only one of the many amazing skills my dog possessed, was going down slides at the neighborhood playground. You would think, there might be some sort of fight or resistance from the dog, but he was very willing and eager to partake in our fun. He was a good dog.

He Taught Me To Fly

Flying

Flying

I have very fond memories of my dad. He was a calm, mild mannered man with a wonderful sense of humor. I looked forward to the few times he was able to be a part of our lives, especially when we would go swimming at a public pool, lake, river, or ocean. He would lift me up and throw me into the water and for a brief moment, I could fly.
